Dancing Bear Inn
Brief
The new owners wanted a brand-refresh to attract the inspired young traveller interested in the local culture and outdoors.
Inspired by the world traveler, the slogan was born "Rest your bag here". A play on words for "rest your head hear" because after a long day of exploring there's nothing better than having a comfortable accommodation to relax and recharge in.
The former logo was a large animal dancing—not fully representing the dancing bear name. We wanted to keep that spirit but modernize it by using fine line work, symbolic typography and icons with more flair while also preserving the character of an old European establishment.
Another element to add to the value of the customer's stay was a locals map of some of the iconic activities, restaurants, pubs and scenic spots. We designed a wall map for their communal kitchen to act as a conversation piece as well as being decorative.
