Brief

Their goal is to provide the best gear on the market for River Surfing enthusiasts as well to land-locked surfers, and new comers to the sport.

The free-flowing word mark represents the surfing culture and river waves, while also expressing a rebellious and alternative attitude of being different than the heard/norm. All the letters of Outlier are lowercase and hand-written to communicate a sense of informality—more relatable to the younger target audience (18-30). The wordmark that is encapsulated in the round-ed circle depicts waves and the river current. One main selling point of a brand is the slogan, nowadays it can be used on t-shirts, social media, stickers, etc.

River surfing is “current state of mind”—the slogan has been trademarked and can be seen all over the MRU and SAIT campuses.
